In a few words...

A dreamer as a kid, I still am, more so than ever, these days running with Silly and Rabid, no secret handshake here, just free and surreal; accepting myself, us and time. Leading with heart, at times arguing the signs and later appreciating the stops. My name is Jorge Arce, the wonderful mess behind Silly Rabid. In high school I designed and silk screened my first t-shirt inspired by Badbrains’ album, Quickness, and I was hooked. Music, bikes, and calaveras continue to be my passion; art is my vessel, giving the voices in my head a place to run free.

It’s ironic that for a kid who despised classes or homework I turned out in the classroom once again. I’ve worked in different graphic design roles in my years; yet the most kick has been the last 16 years teaching high school. Truly a unique stage of wonder, discovery and awareness. Being the dreamer that I am, what a better sentiment to share, Stay silly - Stay rabid. We’re just passing by I often say, making every day a milestone, a chance to be grateful for every experience.

Grew up a bit of rascal myself, just an angry kid looking for what I did not find at home. It’s never too soon or too late, be a leader at home where it truly begins. A wise leader once told me: “the answer comes down to a simple choice: you do or you don’t.” Run your race Silly Rabid and enjoy the simple pleasures, change is but a thought away. Welcome to the rabid hole, always dreaming, always wandering, —where had the feeling gone?
Rage is for keeps.
